Matthew Hansen, DPT

Matt graduated from the University of Utah in 2005 with a doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) degree. Since graduating, Matt has worked full-time with Neuroworx.
 
Matt has also enjoyed extensive clinical work in the areas of neuro, orthopedics, acute care, and manual therapy of the spine. In 1997, Matt became a licensed massage technician and has completed advanced training in myofascial release and kinesio taping techniques.
 
Matt is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), through which he is a certified clinical instructor. Matt participates as a lead technician with the Neurorecovery Network through the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. His hobbies include playing basketball, water skiing, being outdoors, lifting weights, and taking care of his family.
 
In 1997, Matt married his wife, Amy, who suffered a traumatic spinal-cord injury following a gunshot wound in 1992. Matt's experience with her has given him the drive to pursue a career in physical therapy and specialize in spinal-cord-injury rehabilitation. Matt and Amy have two children.
