Marissa Moran, DPT

Marissa grew up right here in Sandy, Utah when her parents moved her family from California to pursue
their love of skiing and share it with their kids. Marissa attended Utah State University where she ran
for the Aggies cross country and track team and excelled the most in the steeplechase race. She quickly
made her decision to work in the physical therapy field after volunteering at a clinic in Logan and
became passionate for the patient care, relationships, and the impact on patient’s lives that physical
therapists are able to provide. Marissa attended University of Utah for her doctorate of physical
therapy program from 2012-2015. During this time she helped found the student-ran Midvale
Community Clinic as the community liaison and worked in the stroke wellness center. She then took
her first job in Salem, Oregon working in a private practice that specialized in neuromuscular
degenerative diseases, brain injuries, and vestibular disorders. She returned to Utah in 2018 where she
continued to work in the neurological population as well as begin concussion research at the University
of Utah. Since returning to Utah, Marissa has furthered her education in the neurological population
and became a certified stroke rehabilitation specialist and certified in vestibular rehabilitation.
In her spare time, you can find Marissa in the mountains with her husband Sean and her golden
retriever Piper where they enjoy all the great outdoor activities that are offered such as skiing, trail
running, and mountain biking.
