Neuroworx to receive ‘Pass It Along’ from Utah Jazz & Mountain America

SANDY, Utah – The Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union today announced Neuroworx as this season’s second recipient of “Pass It Along,” a program that will eventually award a total of $25,000 to five local charitable organizations. The program exhibits the commitment of Mountain America and the Utah Jazz to local community outreach.

In a public statement released today representatives explained that Neuroworx was chosen “in recognition of its significant and ongoing contributions to local residents.” Neuroworx will be presented with a $5,000 donation during the Jazz home game on Tuesday, Dec. 9 by Utah Jazz forward/center Derrick Favors and Mountain America Executive Vice President Marshall Paepke.

As part of the program, Neuroworx recently welcomed Jazz head Athletic Trainer Gary Briggs to learn first-hand about our efforts, take a tour of our facility and spend time with some of our clients.

“The Neuroworx organization is proud to be selected as the recipient of the ‘Pass It Along’ award.” stated Executive Director Dale Hull. “We are extremely grateful to the Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union. This contribution will make a tremendous difference to the individuals in our community working through the devastation of paralysis.”

Neuroworx has cared for approximately 1,000 patients since its inception in 2004 and is committed to promote the rehabilitation of spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions by offering creative, highly-specialized therapies and equipment, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. More information may be found online at www.neuroworx.org.

We express our appreciation to these wonderful community partners for their support.
